This was a very interesting project for me. It was so different working once more with Dali.
have not had many inspirations from Dali as my mind is not surrealistic so I always have difficulties designing around him.
My Collector is a Psychologist and likes Sigmund Freud and had a visit to Freud’s office. He is also a lover of Dali. So, he wanted a make figure, maybe a Psychologist such as himself as the main figure surrounded by Dali Paintings. The paintings are for the patients to analyze and in return he will analyze the patient accordingly. Interesting! Can you imagine Freud and Dali in a conversation!
The tapestry sofa is from Freud office as well as the footstool and the green chair. Just to add a touch of Freud to the room. Dali’s best-known work, The Presence of Memory, was completed in August 1931. ( Center painting on the wall with the clocks )
This composition has now given me a whole new inspiration for a new Freud painting. I have to work on that!
Enjoy
The Analysis of Dali
Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, 1st Marqués de Dalí de Pubol (May 11, 1904 – January 23, 1989), known as Salvador Dalí, was a prominent Spanis surrealist painter born in Figueres, Catalonia Spain.
Dali was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. His painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters.
Dalí's expansive artistic repertoire included film, sculpture and photography, in collaboration with a range of artists in a variety of media.
Sigmund Freud born Sigismund Schlomo Freud; 6 May 1856 – 23 September 1939) was an Austrian neurologist, now known as the father of psychoanalysis.
Sigmund Freud was born in Freiberg, which is now known as the Czech Republic, on May 6, 1856. Freud developed psychoanalysis, a method through which an analyst unpacks unconscious conflicts based on the free associations, dreams and fantasies of the patient. His theories on child sexuality, libido and the ego, among other topics, were some of the most influential academic concepts of the 20th century.
