14 x 18 Interior Oil Painting on Canvas
I posted these close up's so you could see that this painting is a painting
within a painting, within a painting, within a painting and again! Yes, four times!!
all the way into the smallest painting of a painting on the wall where you
can see a white pitcher. This was so much fun that if I had the space I would
have done a painting within one more time! lol!
Every time I paint with Roy I wonder how he ever continued to paint
will all those dots and stripes! Then I saw a demo of him painting recently
and realized that he painted huge paintings, some the size of walls. So,
you can just image how big one dot was!
I had a so much fun painting this so the title fits well!
Enjoy

American Artist Roy Lichtenstein was born in New York City on October 27, 1923, and grew up on Manhattan's Upper West Side. In the 1960s, Lichtenstein became a leading figure of the new Pop Art movement. Inspired by advertisements and comic strips, Lichtenstein's bright, graphic works parodied American popular culture and the art world itself. He died in New York City on September 29, 1997.
