Art within Art Series
11 x 14 inched Oil Painting of Interior on Canvas

This painting was a complete surprise even to me. I had a dream about Jackson Pollock
just going wild with all of his paint cans and just throwing paint all over the place.
I actually woke up and went into the studio at 3AM to do some quick sketches and notes before
I forgot my dream.
The next day I sketched it all out and started squeezing in a few hours here and
there between my commission work to get it painted. I already had a few more art within art paintings started but I just had to get this one finished first. I work several at a time in between other projects as they have many layers of paint and glazes so while they are drying a bit in between layers, I get my commission work completed.

If you haven't seen the move Ed Harris did a great job of directing and starring in Pollock.
He was a reclusive alcoholic and was a mad man when he painted, hence the title Pollock Unleashed!

  1. Candid, to say the least! Pollock even broke glass on his work once, so what you have here has a ring of truth about it!Very colorful, I think Matisse would have seen it this way, Madison!
