Bengel Lake in the Pocono's by k Madison Moore

Bengel Lake in the Pocono's - My front Yard

The lake is so beautiful on this Spring morning. The sun is glistening like diamonds
bouncing on top of the water. I wish I could have captured it better
with the camera but wanted to share this as soon as I took the photos.
I hope everyone has a wonderful, happy Spring and summer fun this year.
If you come to the Pocono's stop and see me.
Enjoy!

Wine Painting, Wine Art , Wine Crystals by k Madison Moore

Bubbly
12 x 12 inches
Oil painting

Wine Crystal Series

A good red wine will fill you with Cheer and Happy Sprits.
Simplicity is what I am going for with this wine painting for the first of my  "Wine Crystals" Series.
With all the different things I do with my wine series segments I felt it would be nice to have some simplistic, minimalistic and maybe some abstract wine paintings as well to keep my diverse collectors happy. Enjoy!

Artists loving life in the Pocono Mountains by k Madison Moore

I generally do not post about my personal life on my blog. However, living in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania needs to be shared. It is the heart of Pennsylvania and is the largest resort area in PA. I never thought I would love living in a private gated resort community but it's a wonderful life. Our animal friends make it even better.
The Pocono's are full of wonderful artists, galleries and art communities so we fit right in.
I wanted to share the beautiful views from our home on the side of the mountain overlooking the huge lake. What a way to paint every day!!! Come visit the beautiful Pocono's and while your here, visit me too.
Enjoy!

The Poconos is and has been Pennsylvania's most popular tourist destination. It is also known for its brilliant color during the fall, in which the mountains are a mix of vibrant red, yellow, and orange. The region contains over 80% of the state's resorts. These resorts earn 1.5 billion dollars in gross revenues and employ 18,000 workers. The region is also a popular winter destination. State parks offer snowmobile trails, snowshoeing, and eagle watching.
Popular summer activities include whitewater rafting and canoeing down the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers, camping and hiking, water parks, and smaller attractions such as Claws N Paws Wild Animal Park, Kittatinny Rafting & Paintball, Houdini Museum and others. Another popular recreation activity growing around the Poconos is disc golf. Currently there are several disc golf  courses located around the Poconos. Other outdoor activities, particularly golf, are also popular options.
Another attraction is Pocono Raceway, a major automobile racetrack, which is home to two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, the Pocono 500 in June, and the Pennsylvania 500n August. It also serves as a racing school and motorcycle track.
The Poconos is a major resort destination with new additions such as Great Wolf Lodge for families, a resurrection of Mount Airy as a gaming (slots) and golf resort, the famous Caesars Pocono Resorts with heart-shaped and champagne whirlpool baths for two (couples only) and a retreat known as Woodloch Pines hat has added a spa facility. Wine Painting, Bathroom Art by k Madison Moore

"Lady in Waiting"

Oil Painting on Canvas
9 x 12 inches

I was soaking in my bubbles enjoying a glass of wine
and looking around at how I was going to renovate
our very small bathroom. I was thinking of art that
I want to hang in there and came up with this idea.
Needless to say I had to paint it right away and of
course had to add a touch of my signature color - Red.
I doubt I will use these colors for a small room but
this is what came into my head. Maybe I am
dreaming about the new large bath in the addition...
Maybe?
I think the silhouette of the gentlemen in the mirror
and the second glass of wine on the shelf tell the whole
story of the "Lady in Waiting"
Enjoy!

Joan Miro Wine Painting by k Madison Moore

Joan Miro Wine Master
11 x 14
Oil on Canvas

Connoisseur Wine Masters Series

I absolutely loved, loved, loved painting this wine label painting.
Red is my favorite color so I am always my happiest when using it
in my paintings.
Joan Miro was such a free spirit and did not let the art
world dictate to him on the way things should be done as far as, palettes colors
and style. He remained free and painted many different styles. I admire this
as this is also my very true feeling of being an artist. Many artists stick to one style,
one subject, one palette.
Personally I will paint all, try many styles and use
as many beautiful colors as I can mix. This wine label painting was truley felt
every inch of the way with a variety of reds and a brilliant contrasting color palette. Enjoy!

Joan Miro

"Wine Painting," What Ever Lola Wants, Lola Gets - Serenade to Lola, by k Madison Moore

What Ever Lola wants, Lola Gets! - Serenade to Lola
14 x16 inches
Oil on Canvas

SOLD

Another painting with my signature color - Red. My husband fell for this one so this is a definite for the new decorating theme we are doing and will look great with the new Red sofa upholstery. Of couse I will paint it similar, not the same and much larger.

I think the title tells it all!! A great fun painting with a lot of details to add to my Wine Series.
Here's a little about the song:

"Whatever Lola Wants" is a popular song, sometimes rendered as "Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets". The music and words were written by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross for Gwen Verdon to sing in the 1955 musical play Damn Yankees. The song also appeared in the film made from the play. The Irish born "spanish dancer" and mistress of King Ludwig I of Bavaria as well as San Francisco Gold Rush vamp Lola Montez is reputed to be the inspiration for the saying upon which this song title is based.

Alphone Mucha Wine Painting by k Madison Moore

Alphonse Mucha Wine Label
9 x 12 inches
Oil Painting

Connoisseur Wine Masters Series

_____________
Alphonse Mucha Wine Label Painting -
Such fun painting this Wine Label.  I really love the Art Deco / Art Nouveau
artists and I think they make the greatest wine label paintings.
The artists from that period always did so much detail in their work
and you know I just love detail. I think this is what appeals to
me so much in Mucha, Erte and Barbier's work.
I will definitely be painting a lot of wine labels
from that period. In this painting the model is taking a step into
reality with her flowing gown.
______
Alphonse Maria Mucha  listen (help·info) (24 July 1860 – 14 July 1939) was a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist, most well known for his images of women. He produced many paintings, illustrations, advertisements and designs.
Mucha produced a flurry of paintings, posters, advertisements, and book illustrations, as well as designs for jewelery, carpets, wallpaper, and theatre sets in what was initially called the Mucha Style but became known as Art Nouveau (French for 'new art'). Mucha's works frequently featured beautiful healthy young women in flowing vaguely Neoclassical looking robes, often surrounded by lush flowers which sometimes formed halo's behind the women's heads.

"Wine Painting", k Madison Moore, "Wine and Women

Connoisseur's - Wine and Women

9 x 12 inches
Oil on Canvas

I am having such joy painting this series. It makes me happy and makes me laugh. Here the fellow gives me the feeling of a bit of voyeurism the way he is a bit hidden in his chair enjoying a nice glass of wine and the beauty of this pretty woman.
Will she step out of the frame and enjoy a glass of wine that is waiting for her on the table?
...and yet another touch of Red!
