Wine Painting, Connoisseurs - Party for Two by k Madison Moore
Connoisseurs - Party for Two
12 x 12 inches
Oil on Canvas
SOLD
Since Red is my signature color, my favorite color, I always try to include it in every painting I do
somewhere if I can. Red, black and white are always so striking and brilliant together so I really had a great time painting this one, especially with capturing her flirty attitude.
The inspiration for this painting is from a redecorating project my husband and I are doing to our home. We have a giant wrap around sofa that takes up a large area in our room. We have decided to reupholster the sofa a warm Red. In doing this we will now need new paintings for the room as well.
For a very long wall behind the sofa there will be three paintings from my Connoisseur Series that will all have a red sofa or chair in the painting. Connoisseur's Private Party may be one of them that I will recreate. Just had to try it. What a fun project!Certified Original Art © 2010 MkM k. Madison Moore

"Wine Painting, Connoisseur's - de Lempicka Exhibit Grand Opening by k Madison Moore
Connoisseur's - de Lempicka Exhibit Grand Opening
12 x 22 inches
Oil on Canvas
SOLD
Such a fun painting to do but a a lot of
details and it took forever to complete.
The blue background required several layers of glazes
to achieve the depth of darkness around the windows.
Another cool fashion painting for my series.
I think this falls in to many of my current series:
Art Deco Series
Art within Art Series
Connoisseur Wine Masters Series
You can view these series under my blog header

This painting will only be available
for a short time, then will move onto
the gallery.
Tamara de Lempicka (Łempicka) (May 16, 1898–March 18, 1980), born Maria Górska in Poland and was and Art Deco painter was a painter and "the first woman artist to be a glamour star."
Born into a wealthy and prominent family, her father was a Polish lawyer, and her mother, a Polish socialite. Tamara was the middle child with two siblings. She attended boarding school in Switzerlandand spent the winter of 1911 with her grandmother in Italy and the French Riviera, where she was treated to her first taste of the Great Masters of Italian painting.
In 1912, her parents divorced and Tamara went to live with her wealthy Aunt Stefa in Russia. When her mother remarried, she became determined to break away to a life of her own.
In 1913, at the age of fifteen, while attending the opera, Tamara spotted the man she became determined to marry. She promoted her campaign through her well-connected uncle and in 1916 she married Tadeusz Łempicki in St. Petersburg—a well-known ladies' man, gadabout, and lawyer by title, who was tempted by the significant dowry.

k. Madison's Wine Paintings Featured in Russia
And if your profession is connected with the sphere of contemporary art? Then you can relax as it does now, after 35 years of work restorer, an American artist k. Madison Moore (k. Madison Moore).
No, she creates and his own original stories, too, but her main love - "MastersSeries", a series of works devoted to, as the name implies, the great masters. One of the series - in line with the theme of our blog - we'll show you here. "The Connoisseur Wine Masters Series" - "Connoisseurs ofwine". It's funny, bright, witty and - quite recognizable. But this is not an imitation of the style of the wizard, and enthusiastic remark in his address, citing enthusiastic. Easy fun game. Tribute to the love and respect to her favorite artists.

Georges Barbier wine Painting by k Madison Moore
9 x 12 inches
Oil Painting
Connoisseur Wine Masters Series
SOLD
George Barbier (1882 - 1932) was one of the great French illustrators of the early 20th century. Born in Nantes, France on October 10, 1882, Barbier was 29 years old when he mounted his first exhibition in 1911 and was subsequently swept to the forefront of his profession with commissions to design theatre and ballet costumes, to illustrate books, and to produce haute couture fashion illustrations.
I am so glad that I am not an illustrator. I can't image doing all those highly detailed
paintings is the huge sizes th illustrators like Barbier, Erte and Much. However, I just had
to try to see where it would take me. This is more my impression of one of Barier's
illustrations. I thought adding all the other elements would make a great wine label painting.

Lautrec Wine Label Oil Painting by k Madison Moore
Toulouse Lautrec Wine Bottle Label Oil Painting
10 x 20 inches
Oil on Canvas
Connoisseur Wine Masters Series
It is so dramatic with the very contemporary lines and the dark background.
The light blue areas are a little more gray in person.
Who doesn't love Lautrec!
Enjoy!
Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse Lautrec-Monfa
1864 - 1901
Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa or simply Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (24 November 1864 – 9 September 1901) was a French painter, printmaker, draftsman, and illustrator, whose immersion in the colorful and theatrical life of fin de siècle Paris yielded an oeuvre of exciting, elegant and provocative images of the modern and sometimes decadent life of those times. Toulouse-Lautrec is known along with Cézanne, Van Gogh, and Gauguin as one of the greatest painters of the Post-Impressionist period. In a 2005 auction at Christie's auction house a new record was set when "La blanchisseuse", an early painting of a young laundress, sold for $22.4 million U.S.

"Steppin Out with Warhol", Art within Art Oil painting by k Madison Moore
Art within Art Series - Art Deco
Oil Painting on Canvas
11 x 14 inches
"Steppin Out with Warhol"
I love Warhol!
This is another concept of Warhol from
thoughts of my Art Museum Collection painting
"Walking in Warhol's Shoes" It was such a popular
painting and so many love Warhol's shoes that I
thought it would be fun to do another.
Andrew Warhola (August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987), more commonly known as Andy Warhol, was an American painter, printmaker, and filmmaker who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. After a successful career as a commercial illustrator, Warhol became famous worldwide for his work as a painter, avante-garde filmmaker, record producer, author, and public figure known for his membership in wildly diverse social circles that included bohemian street people, distinguished intellectuals, Hollywood celebrities and wealthy aristocrats.
Warhol has been the subject of numerous retrospective exhibitions, books, and featured documentary films. He coined the widely used expression " 15 minutes of fame." In his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, The Andy Warhol Museum exists in memory of his life and artwork.
The highest price ever paid for a Warhol painting is $100 million for a 1963 canvas titled Eight Elvis'. The private transaction was reported in an article in The Economist, which described Warhol as the "bellwether of the art market." $100 million is a benchmark price that only Jackson Pollak, Pablo Picasso, Gustave Klimt and William de Kooning. and have achieved.

SOLD - Thank you Diane. I am happy you got this one.
Roy Lichtenstein Wine Label Oil Painting
I promise this painting is not blurry like the photo.
Some day I will learn how to use this camera!
Roy Lichtenstein October 27, 1923 - September 29. 1997 Born in Manhatten
Such a fun painting. I had a great time studying Roy Lichtenstein and seeing all of his Pop Art and his comic book style. His work was heavily influenced by both advertising and was known as an industrial painter. He began his first Pop Art paintings using cartoon images and techniques derived from the appearance of commercial painting. In the late 1970's, this style was replaced with more surreal works. In 1996 the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. became the largest single repository of the artists work when he donated 154 prints and 2 books. In total there are some 4, 500 works thought to be in circulation. He died of pneumonia in 1997 at New Your University Medical Center.
This painting is done on my new 1.5 inch panels and finished on the sides so no frame is needed.

Ladies Choice "Art witin Art Oil Painting by k Madison Moore"
Art within Art Series
11 x 14 inches
Oil on Canvas
"Ladies Choice"
Romain de Tirtoff (November 23, 1892 – April 21, 1990) was a Russian - born French Artist and designer known by the pseudonym Erté, the French pronunciation of his initials, R.T. He was a diversely-talented 20th century artist and designer who flourished in an array of fields, including fashion, jewelry, graphic arts, costume/set design (film, theatre, opera) and interior decor.
In this painting composition I have combined my love for fashion design, my Art Museum Collection Series and my Art within Art Series to create the Art Deco Ambiance. What better Artist to pay homage to for the Art Deco Exhibit Painting but Erte', my all time favorite Art Deco Nouveau Artist / Designer. If I painted homage to just Etre I could not get it all done in my life time. He was just amazing and blessed.
Pains went into the sequins on the dress. There are splashes of metallic through out the abstract back ground design and the frame is 2 shades of metallic gold glazed in red. Again my photography skills get in the way.

"Connoisseur Wine Tasting", Wine Painting by k Madison Moore
Connoisseur Wine Masters Series
11 x 14 inches
Oil on Canvas
SOLD
" Connoisseur Wine Tasting"
Very Illustrative and Art Deco for this fun painting.
I just love doing the details and using so many brilliant colors.
I figured that since I was doing so many wine label paintings
in this series that it would be a cool perspective to view the Connoisseurs
as well so here they are at a " Wine Tasting."
So now I have decided I will just have to be adding
more Connoisseurs or just wine lovers.
You may see a few of these Connoisseurs reappering
at different parties and exhibits in future paintings.

Wine tasting (often, in wine circles, simply tasting) is the sensory examination and evaluation of wine. While the practice of wine tasting is as ancient as its production, a more formalized methodology has slowly become established from the 14th century onwards. Modern, professional wine tasters (such as sommeliers or buyers for retailers use a constantly-evolving formal terminology which is used to describe the range of perceived flavors, aromas and general characteristics of a wine. More informal, recreational tasting may use similar terminology, usually involving a much less analytical process for a more general, personal appreciation.
