Peacocks in The Room
Inspired by Walter Crane

Take a Seat Series
8 x 8 Peacock Oil Painting on Canvas

I recently found this artist and love his very detailed work. The mini  painting on the wall is inspired by one of his Peacock paintings and is approximately 2” x 3.5” without the frame.
Love doing this small paintings in between my commissions and larger projects. These little gems would make great gifts and areaffordable.Great for the collector that is running out of wall space too

My Meta Art

Meta is when I refer to The Master’s creative work.
In this work is the inspiration. It's art about their art!
It’s Art within Art. It's less about using their style
and more about expressing my passion for and
interpretation of what their body of work represents.

Walter Crane (15 August 1845 – 14 March 1915) was an English artist and book illustrator. He is considered to be the most i
Influential, and among the most prolific, children’s book creator of his generation andone of the strongest contributors to the child's nursery
motif that the genre of English children's illustrated literature would exhibit in its developmental stages in the latter 19th century.
Crane's work featured some of the more colourful and detailed beginnings of the child-in-the-garden
motifs that would characterize many nursery rhymes and children's stories for decades to come. He was part of
the Arts and Crafts movement  and produced an array of paintings, illustrations, children's books, ceramic
tiles and other decorative arts. Crane is also remembered for his creation of a number of iconic
images associated with the International Socialist movement.
