In this painting composition I have combined my love for fashion design, my Art Museum Collection Series and my Art within Art Series to create the Art Deco Ambiance. What better Artist to pay homage to for the Art Deco Exhibit Painting but Erte', my all time favorite Art Deco Nouveau Artist / Designer. If I painted homage to just Etre I could not get it all done in my life time. He was just amazing and blessed.
Pains went into the sequins on the dress. There are splashes of metallic through out the abstract back ground design and the frame is 2 shades of metallic gold glazed in red. Again my photography skills get in the way.

ReplyDeleteLove this elegant woman with her elongated proportions. So deliciously Art Deco. The tall vertical of the inner painting and it's crisp bl/wt males are such a playful and perfect choice for her to be sitting next to. Great title too!
ReplyDeleteSorry Gwen, I think I rejected your comment by mistake so I am posting it again for you.'Thanks so much. You are always so kind with your comments for my work.
